According to the Department of Labor, as many as 17 million college graduates work in positions that did not require a college education. Many college graduates are employed in jobs that do not require college levels. In Feb. 2018, undergraduate college graduates had a median of $37,172 in mortgage debt.
The Administration additionally has worked to help Americans manage their pupil mortgage debt. As late as mid-2012, fewer than one million borrowers were in income-driven repayment plans. The Administration’s expansion effort has nearly quadrupled participation, and delinquencies and defaults are down.
